About nocrypto.nz

This is an independent website created to provide accurate and uncompromised information about Pyramid schemes posing as "crypto" currency, "blockchains" or "digital assets" or similar schemes and scams. All content is original work and Copyright of Stuart MacIntosh at the publication date. This information is provided for non-commercial use only. Unauthorized redistribution is prohibited.

Too often reporting on these subjects is fraught with conflicted interests, or based on marketing literature written from the perspective of it's proponents, or technically uninformed opinion or omits any criticism. No impartiality is feigned, there is just widespread deception and fraud synonymous with "crypto" and that is a bigger menace than any floppy political argument for a P2P digital cash (which is not to say that those arguments don't exist, but I have listened and don't entertain them).

The editorial stance here is clear and simple, to be completely candid about the intentions it is to report uncensored opinion, bridge the reporting gap that avoids calling Bitcoin an obvious scam and to demystify the technobabble so that people are better guarded against loss via the deception synonymous with "crypto". No financial positions on any "crypto" are taken, some balances are held for experimentation and research only (into mining and trade), and hopefully it is clear to readers I am not in any way intent on 'pumping' those bags: I think mining is a scam and crypto, in it's entirety, is a scam too.

As someone with a background in electronics, hacking and cyber-security I feel it is personally important to denounce these scams, which have risen in spite of and not because of the hacker community. There is also a concerning and growing environmental footprint to Bitcoin which I think should concern anyone with an understanding of semiconductor and solid-state physics, meteorology, Earth and climate science.
